Enter a start date and an end date to calculate the number of days between two dates. By default, the result is the number of full days between the dates, so the start date is day zero.

If the end date is before the start date, the calculator still returns the number of days apart and tells you that the end date occurs earlier. That makes it useful for past deadlines, historical spans, and simple date checks.

Most date difference calculators do not count both the start date and the end date by default. For example, January 1 to January 3 is a 2-day difference: January 1 to January 2, then January 2 to January 3.

Turn on “Include the end date” when you want an inclusive count of calendar dates. With inclusive counting, January 1 to January 3 becomes 3 calendar dates.

Select the start date and end date. The calculator compares the two calendar dates, subtracts the earlier date from the later one, and returns the exact number of full days between them.
