What Is a Business Day?
A business day, also called a working day or workday, generally means Monday through Friday, excluding applicable public holidays. Many deadlines, shipping estimates, bank transfers, and contracts use business days instead of calendar days.
In the U.S., business days is the more common phrase. Working days is often used internationally, especially in U.K. contexts. This working days calculator defaults to the U.S. federal holiday calendar, but custom holidays let you match another country, company, or project schedule.
